ISO 80 has some artifacts even in good light and jpeg best...Limited dynamic range (though not bad for its class) Noise and softness overwhelms images at ISO 200/400, somewhat soft...Poor in low light (but good in bright light) Flash is somewhat weak for this class of camera, you fear to tread at higher ISO levels also..limiting your options...

Sharp colorful pics under various lighting situations I don't use the movie mode, but it could be a lot better...The stabilized Zoom!!, Small form factor, lots of semi-pro features, good price very light, plastic feel...It took me quite a while to decide between the Casio EX-505, The Sony DHC-H1 and The Minolta Z3..and finally concluded that the FZ5 is the best overall winner...
