After 7 months of almost continuous usage, I would recommend this unit to anybody, but please do not think of it as a DSLR replacement, the amount of control of the image simply is not there...Image quality is good, but as other reviewers have pointed out, at high ISO settings, noise is a problem...I would personally recommend manually selecting ISO100 for all outdoor work...
