I originally bought a Sony cordless phone, but had all sorts of problems with it...The battery wouldn't hold a charge; the sound would cut in and out; static would drown out any sound for five seconds, even if I was standing right next to the base! On recommendation of a friend, I bought this Panasonic, and love it...I have never had any complaints or problems with this phone...
