Complicated surround modes, poor sensing of digital and analog sources...Great features, tons of inputs, surround sounds great, 2 switchable component video inputs I don't know enough about AV receivers to know if it has "cons" I did quite a bit of searching before deciding on this receiver, and I'm very happy with my purchase...My decision came down to 3 reciever's the Panasonic...
Paired with some fairly efficient speakers (Sony SS-MB350H's) and a good amplifieded sub-woofer in a home theater configuration the sound is very very good at a very inexpensive price...The FM section is as good as most receivers these days, which is to say not very good...A good programmable remote takes care of that problem...
