I didn't believe cnet's reviews that say 720p looks as good as 1080, but now I am convinced...Perhaps I am not as discerning or observant as others, but as a long time PC gamer, I would like to think I have a reasonable eye for good image quality...Voting down a product based on one bad experience demonstrates an absurd sense of logic and statistical knowledge...
This is an all around amazing TV, I get good picture even on standard definition channels, and HD channels are crystal clear...Only 720p, but I won't take off an egg for that because it does NOT matter!!! No matter what anyone says, I can not tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on a good 42" tv, like this one...With movies this set looks so good we've been going back to all our favorite films...
