strongly recommendated NA I bought this plasma a month ago, after careful research and many visits to local megastore retailers...It does have a on site one year warranty automatically, even if you don't purchase the additional 3-5 year coverage, and so far, the service / support of Philips Corp has been good...The other con is that the speaker system built into this unit isn't all that...
