I had no problems whatsoever with writing DVD+RWs, CDRWs and CDRs...You figure with a good name you would get a product worthy of the name WRONG! I will Steer far away from any future products made by Philips...The price is not the subject but compatibility! this machine shouldn't have come out at all! sucks......
