I cannot fit all the good things I want to say about this product in only one review...I paid about $50 for the thing here at Amazon, set up wasn't too bad (you really ought to read the manual), and I left most settings just as they were right out of the box- it looks just fine to me...Just to be sure I've run a CD (I like Sony better for CD playback) and a Hogan's Heroes DVD (region 1, NTSC format)...
well the remote is about the worse thing ever...Looks good, easy to use - but stopped working after little use after one year:) Phillips knows about this problem of the defect lens which does not last...While the cons seem to be heavy it does what it says it does very well...
Its good enough to run along side stereophile separate components and genuine enough to show its quality if you have the right interconnect cables...It plays fine, looks good, sounds good, BUT it CONSTANTLY FREEZES!!! I have no choice but to turn off the power andrestart the machine...Yes it is that bad and short ranged...
