I have to admit that I did expect more from the Senseo than I got but, overall, it did fit my primary need...Even the dark roast won't be as dark as what you'll find at the local coffee shop so I'd recommend buying this and treating it as the medium roast...It's not quite as good as my espresso/cappuccino machine, but not a bad second...
