This is not the top of the line receiver or speaker, but its a pretty good deal for the money, The DVR works great and makes life easier...Recording to the HDD is easy and picture quality is very good...Overall it appears to be a very good value I had watched a total of three DVDs using the HDD/DVD recorder when the loading drawer became stuck (as signiifed by a "BLOCKED" message on the unit's screen...
1 for each box, DVD menus are inaccessable unless the playback diverts to them...However, to someone who isn't very good with technology, the remotes look exactly the same and are oft en confused (which is the case with my wife and any guests I have...Despite this drawback, which seems to be its only con, I would recommend this player to anybody, as long as they were willing to forgo DVD menus...
