When closed, the SamsungDVD-L1200 portable DVD player looks like an ultra-slim notebook computer...There are few (if any) portable DVD models that can rival either the screen size or image quality of the DVD-L1200...Of course, with a recommended price tag of $1,000, the DVD-L1200 is one of the more expensive portable DVD players...
For instance, while it's nice that there are three headphone jacks, the lack of independent volume controls means you'll likely spend more time adjudicating volume-level arguments than you will in quiet contentment or adult conversation with your spouse...Picture quality was acceptable, but we expected better...All in all, we feel the SamsungDVD-L1200 is not enough player...

Both are every bit as good as what you would expect to find in a high end TV with surround sound...The picture and sound are truly as good as you will find on much more expensive TV's and DVD players...In other words, is it a good enough machine and is it going to be used enough to make it worthwhile...
The only reason I bought this player is because it offered the largest viewable area...Good DVD examples would be Armageddon and the Star Wars Trilogy Limited Edition that's coming out in Sept...Because I rarely use this feature, it doesn't bother me too much, but it's definitely something I will look into for my next player should this thing go out...
