Also 480i channels look about the same as they did on my CRT but my HD DVR upconverts 480i to 480p, which helps a good deal...I've looked at this set side by side with plasmas and LCDs and noticed very little difference between the picture's overall quality...PIP, I have it hooked up so the cable is split b4 Mot6412, Sammy tuner is better for ana Not very good view from high corner angles...
Overall, DLPs are better since they have better contrast than plasmas and weigh less...Hope this helps and good luck shopping...Some more feedback on the picture and input modes after two weeks into the purchase: The contrast ratio of this HLP series is really good provided you are watching the TV at the same height...
