HD looks as good as my Uncle's Sony plasma, I set them up side by side...The plasmas have the best overall picture, but were a bit out of my range for the 50" screen I wanted...So I'd recommend getting a receiver with lip snyc correction if you get this unit and you're in the market for a receiver, too...
