The picture quality is great, and even the sound quality isn't too bad either as a stand alone...Just be careful with it on the stand as it's not that heavy and one good push can knock it off...If not, I would highly recommend this tv...
Overall this is a great HD Television, and for the price I think its unbeatable...Bottom line, check this TV out at a Frys or other retailer and you'll see the cost/benefit ratio is better than other technologies...In respect to the picture quality the DLP is excellent, almost as good as the plasma set...

This was a bit pricier than some places, but they were an authorized retailer with excellent service and lots of good referrals...Really, the DVD movies were the "worst" picture I got from any input but they were still quite good...The output is (I think) 480p and looks quite good...
