FANTASTIC PICTURE, IF YOU TURN OFF EVERY LIGHT IN THE HOUSE AND ROTATE THE TV AS THE SUN MOVES AND PUT A SUN PROOF CURTAIN ON EACH WINDOW...When paired with a good upconverting player, it comes very close to HD quality...I'm a picky viewer, and I whole-heartedly recommend this set...
It's the best picture I've seen when viewing HD material for such a large screen size (6 ft diag.) I saw no pixelation viewing the screen and no rainbow effect at all (like some other DLP products out there...It is well known and well documented...After googleing the "shut-off" problem, I found out it is a common issue with ALL Samsung DLPs; which sometimes they can't fix!!!...
Extremely large screen! So far this TV has surpassed anything I expected...I was expecting really bad standard definition picture quality...it's good with both digital and analog (if the signal is good) channels...It's like having a very good monitor that happens to be 71...
