I can highly recommend this set! It's definitely at the top of the LCD heap...I tried 30 momentarily just to see if it kept a good quality at higher levels-- which it did-- but quickly lowered it...It might help with DVD's, but I'm not seeing anything good from it for standard Cable TV...
I compared the picture with a Panasonic, Sharp, and even a Sony, the Samsung was noticably as good or better in contrast and color...Factory color settings are pretty good but you'll get more (on any LCD or TV) by calibrating it...But being that I have not been able to use the component inputs yet, as it seems amazon shipped me a bad item, with the Pr input dead on both component channels...
