Unfortunately that?s something you have to do far too often on the S1050 since the camera has real problems with smaller subjects (even in macro) and in low light and even using the Face AF...However, metering is very good indeed and the addition of a manual focus mode (although oddly this is buried in under the macro control and so again, not very intuitive) makes amends for some of the camera's...
There is a good level of detail in the photos, the colors are true to life, and the portability of the camera is decent...I recommend buying four high powered NIHMs, and a recharger that can handle four batteries at a time, that way you'll always be ready for a shot...It is *just* pocketable - lucky I have large shirt and suit pockets...
I highly recommend these monitors! Nice wide view, very bright, no frozen pixels, perfoms great in games, and a great value...The ergotron mounts were a good investment because the two monitors float above my desk and I can move them around any way I want with almost no effort at all...I really like the monitor overall, but the colors are a bit too bright, maybe i'm just not used to it, but anything...
