The Sanyo Xacti VPC-E1 has worked out perfectly...I purchased the Sanyo Xacti VPC-E1 to take on an Alaska cruise...The E1 takes decent pictures in brightly lit areas, but for low light situations, it is very grainy...Resolution for video is good for sharing online but not as nice when viewed on a large tv screen...
But to my surprise, I can truely say that it is very good...One more good thing about this cam is the fast startup time...The menu can be a little bit confusing at times...
