For LCD HDTV technology, this is a very good, as the D44U's average black level measurement of 0.10 Cd/m2 is among the darkest levels I've measured to date...The D44U's film-based video detection was fast and the various scenes I looked at exhibited good color quality...The D44U's on-display controls are conveniently located on the top right-hand edge of the frame, and they provided good tactile feedback...
