Fantastic space management > Great visuals and quiet > Stick a 990X EE in it...Just keep blowing on it...There are plenty of things you can do with a barebones system such as Shuttle's SX58H7 case-PSU-motherboard bundle...USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gbps would be nice at this price, which seems steep considering there's no CPU, RAM or storage included......

It is the work of moments to remove the main cover, drive bay, ICE fan unit and CPU cooler, and lay the innards open to view...The inclusion of two graphics slots mean there's no room for a PCI slot...On the front of the SX58H7, the drive bays and ports are hidden behind stealthed doors...

Outwardly, the SX58H7 looks like any other Shuttle XPC, and as usual it arrives with no RAM, no drives and no CPU...Here, even the cheapest compatible CPU, the Core i7-920, will set you back a good £200 exc VAT...And high-spec computing doesn't fit naturally into low-profile design, leaving the SX58H7 marred by a few evident compromises...but if you don't make a habit...
