Fantastic colours, simple controls, one - touch white - balance...Requires both hands, makes those photography classes a waste of money...All in all I don't have anything really bad to say about this camera...The 'Twilight' mode also produces some pretty decent colour definition in my experience (for the amount of light around), and overall my favourite thing about this camera is the colours it picks...
We really liked the design of the DSC-F505, one of our favorite aspects being the rotating lens which swings nearly 180 degrees...The only viewfinder on the DSC-F505 is the LCD monitor on the back panel, which offers brightness controls and a back light option directly beneath it...For optics, the DSC-F505 comes with a razor-sharp 7.1 to 35.5mm Carl Zeiss 5x...

No anti-red-eye...The F505 has caused quite a stir over the last couple of weeks, it's announcement clouded in secrecy and cleverly exposed day by day...
A couple of memory sticks and an extra battery make a good kit to travel with...It comes with a 4MB stick, but you can get up to 64MB -- I highly recommend getting a 32MB or 64MB, especially if you use the dual resolution mode...It is rated at a much higher megapixel, but immediately I noticed the pictures were nowhere near as good as with the trusty f505...
As it is a Carl Zeiss lens, the optics are as good as you would anticipate...To my mind, a good menu system should be intuitive and logical, and after a bit of experimentation I soon got the hang of it...The depth of field, clarity of colour and overall lustre are where the Sony scores over lesser cameras...
