The picture quality is excellent, the TV looks very good, and the built-in sound is quite acceptable...The black level is not as good as a smaller CRT WEGA I have in the bedroom, but I do not found the black level to be unacceptable...I highly recommend anyone looking at big screen TV to look at this TV or its follow-on model...
The DLP folks want you to beleave that you will have a smeared , screen door, poor contrast, bad blacks nighmare on your hands...The bad...The remote is junk, and black is not super black, but I'm very happy...I recommend this tv with no qualms...
The HDTV from Comcast is 1080i and very good...As far as watching TV is concerned, I have regular digital cable and the pictuer quality is not good at all, 3 out of 5 at best...The rest of my system comprises of a Denon 2802 receiver and 5.1 Energy speakers and this TV is a good fit with the rest of the system...
