Sound quality is very good without a home theater setup...Lots of other things I could say about this TV, but it's all good...Normally I would never dream of recommending a product based solely on its namebrand, but when it comes to electronics, it's impossible for me to separate the quality you get from Sony versus other, less well known brands...
I found the sound from the 11 watt speakers to be very good...Great picture, sound, and bang for the buck! A 3rd HDMI input would be good (Edited December 01st by ekl2106) I am impressed with everything about my Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 40" LCD TV...I recommend it to all who are in the market for a high quality LCD HDTV...
