I got these headphones and also the MDR-EX51LP, I liked these better than the MDR-EX51LP because the sounds it produced was crisper and overall just much better...I still think a good pair of headphones (SonyMDR-CD790) are more comfortable for long periods of time, but they're not nearly as portable...I like to hear a good bass sound and this Sony model gives...
I like to listen to oldies and folk music and the quality of these are as good as the Bose I tried, but couldn't afford at $100...So far this new one does prvoide the similar sound quality after I tried to listen to different kinds of music, and this is the most important, I suppose!! The style of earbud is not bad, either...overall a very good headphones for jogging or workouts...
