I also watch the food channel, and the weather channel and while they don't look as good as HD programs, they are OK...Overall, I am completely and totally satisfied with this purchase...I usually buy Panasonic, but I have heard good things about Toshiba...
Great set, no problems as of yet, I highly recommend it, glad I went with the LZ...The only thing I can say is bad about the set is that manual channel changing takes a few seconds, Picture in Picture doesn't allow standard Video 1 or 2 (all other inputs ok), and using TV Guide feature doesn't allow last channel recall...Overall, hands down the best LCD I've owned......
Recently I bought this TV because I wanted a nice sized TV with native 1080p resolution and also getting the most bang for my buck...It's nice getting a good sound experience when watching a DVD or playing a game like Gears of War...It is really sad when a company like Toshiba treats its repeat customers like that...
