THe discs come out very very good...Overall a great machine for the money...If you can find the DVR3, like I did, for under $140, I'd highly recommend it...
Knowing all this, I definitely would not buy this unit or recommend it to anyone as is...I would recommend this unit to others looking for the most bang for their buck...I´ve 4 VHS Toshiba recorders and they all left me the impression that good engines and electronics are behind it......
