Sleek design; good games performance in the 9300K color temperature; three-year warranty....Blurry images in DVD movies; screen had odd yellowish hue under certain settings; wobbly footstand....Despite its good performance in games, smart design, and a high 1,680x1,050 resolution, we do not recommend the ViewSonic VX1962wm because Westinghouse has a 19-inch LCD that's slightly cheaper...

19in widescreen monitors, it would seem, have recently become something of an endangered species...And it's that fact which brings us to the new ViewSonic VX1962wm ' Super HD' monitor...The entire screen is finished in glossy piano black, with a silver trim around the top and sides of the slim bezel making it seem even thinner...Aside from this one niggle, the visual design...

The VX1962wm ($299 list) won't overwhelm you with multimedia features or killer performance, but it does offer a higher resolution than most 19-inch widescreen displays on the market...The VX1962wm is encased in a high-gloss black cabinet and is framed by a thin black bezel with a touch of silver trim...It might be a good idea to spend some time reading the user guide before attempting...
