Sadly, lacklustre image quality let the 8920 down...The jewellery scan was the 8920's best effort and the overall image looked much truer to the original than the other two tests...

Having owned a Umax S-6, S-12, HP Photoscanner and Powerlook III, the S-6 costing about 400.00 when new...There might be faster scanners but this one is just simply really, really good, especially for 100 bucks! I have WinXP & have had no problems...I do not recommend this scanner if your intent is to scan slides...
