Inexpensive...Basic design...The distinguishing feature of the Vizio VX32LHDTV is its low price ($700 as of 12/08/06)--less than half the cost of the top-performing model among currently tested 32-inch LCD TVs...And while its economy comes with a few rough edges, the set overall is a good value for the features and image quality that you get...The VX32LHDTV ranked sixth out of seven in image...
On the other hand, it had a hard time smoothing out jaggies from moving diagonal lines, such as a waving American flag...Nonetheless, we put it through our standard battery of tests, and the results were mostly good...Aside from those reddish dark areas, the VX32L HDTV acquits itself well on the color accuracy front...

It's a 720p/1080i LCD set, but it provides a good and bright picture, especially with HD channels...You should also get some unencrypted digital versions of many of your local channels, all of which will look better than the regular old 480i cable signal channels--which will most likely look washed out and flat once you get a good look at prime time HD programming...I've found myself watching shows...
Overall it's a great tv for the price...Picture- I have a Philips CRT HDTV capable of 1080i, but the Vizio beats that set for overall picture quality...While the HD picture on the CRT set is slightly sharper than the Vizio, the Vizio has better color reproduction and an overall more vibrant picture...
