VERY happy with picture quality (not badly pixelated like many LCD's) and sound is pretty good too, especially for this price bracket...Very highly recommend this television for a bedroom or other small room, and very happy with the Crutchfield buying experience...I have to say that the picture quality is good for the price, but not nearly as good as a true hdtv set...
It is definitely not a high-def panel but for normal TV and DVD viewing you can't go wrong...If this is going to be your only TV look into something a little higher-end but if you're looking for a nice smaller panel for the bedroom go for it...This is a great TV for under $600...
The picture is EDTV (very good regardless) and not HDTV, but HDTV is more expensive...The picture quality is very good and the colors are incredibly vibrant...I would recommend this TV to anyone...
