I am writing a special review for this radar detector for the people shopping for a superb radar detector priced at a reasonable level and offers very good protection...Good price, all band/laser in a nice basic package, attractive unit Short range(but enough), lots of false alarms I bought this for a recent 12 hour drive, and was impressed with it...I saw the other reviews on this Whistler...
If you need a good, low priced , reliable unit, this is the one to get...Only cons is that the visual alerts are somewhat small and not very helpful...The audible alert should have more different tones for different types of radar and a better visual alert to accompany it - overall it is well worth the $70 I paid for it...
finds em easy display is dim used the 1730 for many years with out any problems but a dim display...cut out the front plastic around the LED's and is very bright...Just installed into my new charger daytona...
