I bought this Yamaha receiver with the expectation that I would most likely return it because it wouldn't sound good...In the stereo mode it sounded as good as my NAD 116 pre-amp with a NAD 218 THX...I have a BA PV-600 subwoofer and the overall sound was so thick and rich that I felt as if I was in a club...
I bought the HTR5630 even though I could find no other detailed user review on the net...I assumed that the 5400 and 5500 series were getting good reivews and there were NO bad comments abou the 5600 series I might as well give it a try...You might have to 'shop around' for the best price and you will be surprised how cheap you can get it...
