Reviews: ADI has released the latest addition to its G Series, the 19in G900, sporting a Hitachi CM901 shadow-mask Pure Flat Tube...The screen has a flat exterior, although the inside of the tube has a distinct curvature...The G900 is marketed as a high-end model, so we expected to find a selection of connectors around the back...The G900 has a dot pitch of 0.25mm, a viewable diagonal of 18in and a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 at 75Hz...

"This page contains specs and other information on the ADI MICROSCAN 5P+ monitor...If you have a ADI MICROSCAN 5P+ monitor, what else is there...A video card, or video cards as the case may be these days, to get full performance from that monitor you probably just spent a pretty penny on..." read more »

"Line output transistor (BU2527AF) becomes defective after a short while...Tips are coming from EURAS customers, workshops and payed technicians from all over the world...If you do not qualify as stated above and you have an appliance that needs technical service, we do recommend you to contact the manufacturer (for example through his website) or go to a professional household/TV/Video electronics repair shop close to you..." read more »

"The 18.1in MicroScan 9L is the latest move towards the upper echelons of the market...It looks pretty enough, with pleasing curves and a stylish, solid base...The 9L has an analog video interface, so you can hook it up to your existing graphics card easily...The 9L copes well at lower than native resolutions, with pixel smoothing making the best of the inevitable aliasing distortions..." read more »

"Alas, this is the way things are when it comes to TFT flatpanel monitors, and at £833, the ADi MicroScan A610 costs about the going rate for these screens at the moment...The A610 is a prime example of this - its base is about half the size of that of a CRT monitor and the screen itself is only about 2.5in thick...The A610 plugs into a regular VGA connector (unlike some digital flatpanel displays) and has a built-in power supply, so there's no hefty mains adaptor to hide under your desk...Image-wise, the A610 is a first-rate performer..." read more »

"A good monitor used to be a luxury but now, with the increased times we spend on the computer each day they have become a necessity...Today we'll be looking at the ADI Microscan E66, a 19", 0.26mm pitch monitor that caught our attention...While there are drivers for this monitor on the manufactures site, there are not entirely necessary from our experience in a Win98SE environment..." read more »

"I had two ADI MicroScan F720 monitors for testing, and I returned the first one due to very poor focus in the lower right corner, poor screen regulation, and geometry distortion...I'm currently using the second one and I'm having a pretty hard time at it......" read more »

"The ProVista E55 is a 17-inch model with a street price of just over £200 whilst the 19-inch MicroScan G66 sells for around £428 (both prices include VAT...However, the two-inch difference in screen size between the E55 and G66 bumps up the price by what appears to be a disproportionate amount...The monitor's maximum supported resolution figures are matched to the tube specifications, the E55 goes up to 1280 x 1024 (at 60Hz) whilst the G66 can display 1600 x 1200 (at 75Hz...unfortunately, unlike the G66 there is no way of getting rid of it..." read more »

"ADI has built a reputation at PC Pro for producing great value-for-money monitors, such as the 6G (reviewed issue 55, p116), which don't produce particularly good image quality...In an attempt to redress the latter half of this tradition ADI has selected a Sony Trinitron tube for the G710...Thanks principally to the high-quality Trinitron tube, the G710 scored an overall 29 points in the DisplayMate suite of tests...Unfortunately, this good performance was let down by a fail in the symmetric regulation test, showing that the control electronics can't supply the monitor with a steady power source..." read more »

"ADI monitors have not always had a reputation for good quality, but now there's the G910 with its FD Trinitron tube to silence the critics...The bandwidth is 229.5 MHz and the refresh rate 110 kHz, giving it a theoretical rate of 87 Hz in 1600x1200, which is pretty good...The G910's OSD is fairly comprehensive, though it doesn't have purity adjustment by zone, and it is not easy to browse, since it only has three buttons...It is not bad in brightness and contrast, though not up to the standards of the ViewSonic P95f..." read more »
