"If you've been following the digital audio scene then you know who Bantam is...I'll get to the rest of the products over the next couple weeks, as the review units roll in, but the belle of the ball was the Bantam BA1000, the company's first hard drive portable...Bantam offers a slew of flash-based players and a forthcoming CD MP3 player, but the BA1000 will enjoy flagship status...The BA1000 strikes right between the two devices, offering a rich set of features and packing it in a small body with a very pretty face..." read more »

Retrevo's Recommendation: Older product, look for current models
Reviews: And the issue of value is a problematic one for the BA250...The plain fact is that, despite a respectable, if underwhelming, list of features, the BA250 is simply not worth $179.00, especially considering that you can get a very similar player for almost half that...Before I describe the BA250, you should know that the player is also available in a 112MB version, which just means that it ships with a 64MB SmartMedia card...Oddly, this package costs a mere $20.00 more than the straight BA250...The sound quality of the BA250 is good but the unit is slightly underpowered...
