"Smart design Good imaging and detail for the price...Annoying tuning method...Sadly, this only serves to highlight one unfortunate feature of the 640T V2...We reckon you'd need very bright tastes to use the former, but the latter's no bad thing...Imaging and detail are about as good as you're going to get without attaching an expensive DAC to a tuner's digital output, and there aren't any obvious whistles or other nasties in evidence......" read more »

"Great hardware poor firmware, out of date, doesn´t explore half the potencial of the platform Very bad cambridge audio support, i´ll never buy a product of cambridge audio again...A year ago i was very happy with my cambridge audio dvd79, it has an excellent platform and deliveres good picture through the dvi output...In the audio section, has 24bits 192 khz DACs which produce very good stereo performance, way above average, for this price tag..." read more »

Reviews: Before you can reply to a message...If so a macro for Play|Stop is On and Play|Power Toggle is Off...If you post the Pronto hex for the Power Toggle command I can tell you how to generate all possible commands for that Protocol/Device combination and you can test them to see if you find any...

Reviews: I have a Scan 440LSI at the mo but need to replace it as the RGB output doesn't work properly (bad design - signal levels are all out of whack...The component output from the DVD59 is very good...The s-video output is very good with very little colour smearing and excellent tonal range and blacks...However, the PS converter in the DVD59 fell down when trying to output still frames (even on non-motion scenes where the odd and even fields were the same...

Reviews: As such as these areas were not applicable to the DVD86, the upgrade was not applied- what screen are you connected to...Unfortunately, this gets us no closer to finding out whether this is caused by the player, or the HDMI input on your screen, such are the joys of HDMI and HDCP...I might also experiment with turning HDCP on or off...I moved it futher away from the DVD86 and have not had any sound sync problems since...
