"The glass is very good and the I.S...system allows you to use them without a tripod, although their weight can get to you before too long (resting one's elbows on a convenient surface may help.) Reviews: The only comment that I could make to someone who has not used this type of devise before, and is not necessarily a bad one, is that when viewing an image while the I.S...I will say that they are fantastic but, unless you are a binocular aficionado with extra disposable income, the difference in optics between these and a good $300 pair of binoculars is not Herculean, with the exception of the image stabilization (IS) feature...Overall this is a "winner" but keep you expectations reasonable when considering the exponential cost increase relative to a high quality pair of normal binoculars...
