Reviews: I've been looking around and it seems a 2801 is the entry level for what I want...What I want is something that is out of the box ready to support Cisco VOIP phones and has CME installed...ok, I'm still reading up on this...So if I want to put a FXO port into my 2801 for instance, does it need a PVDM installed as well to do teh analogue to digital conversions and visa-versa...

"I am using a Cisco 870 series router and an Aironet 1100 series access point at home...The Cisco 877 allows up to four VLANs on his four-port managed switch, the Aironet 1121 allows up to sixteen VLANs...VLAN 1, name "default", native VLAN for the Cisco 877 and Aironet 1121...The only devices actually configured with VLANs are the AP and the OpenBSD box?and if you do plan to use the OpenBSD box, I don?t readily see why you might need VLANs on the 877..." read more »

Reviews: Your 3825 already has gigabit ethernet ports on it, which means that you would simply patch one of your routers ethernet ports to your providers mux equipment...Talk to your provider about what interface they could recommend for your router...It will cost several thousand dollars for this setup, but so will another 3825 and associated interface module (which might even cost more...I cant quote any real world experience with the 3825, but I personally have achieved 60mbps through a 1801, despite Cisco claiming it is only good for "broadband speeds...
