What makes a Green Monitor? Older CRT Monitors are some of the least green electronics. A new Energy Star rating for computer monitors is in the works. Version 5 specifications for displays under 30 inches go into effect Oct. 30, 2009. The rules for larger monitors take effect Jan. 30, 2010.
