"With sophisticated white-balance and exposure algorithms working behind the scenes, the EasyShare models are consistently among the easiest to use on the market, snapping good-looking photos under a surprisingly wide range of conditions...Now, the EasyShare Printer Dock 6000 cuts the computer out of the loop entirely, letting you output beautiful borderless 4x6 photos directly from the camera with the push of a button...Kodak's newest camera dock, the EasyShare Printer Dock 6000 takes things a step further, by providing direct printing from the camera along with the usual dock functions of battery-charging and computer connectivity...Kodak recommends setting the image quality on the camera to the "Best 3:2" setting, to ensure your images are not cropped..." read more »

"We would never consider selling anything that we didn't consider to be a good product...A 9810 will operate between 100v-240v supply and can also be run from an inverter if being used away from mains power in a car or caravan etc...If you need speed and a lower cost per print, then the 9810 takes some beating..." read more »

"The Kodak passes the paper through the printer four times: once each for the three colours and a fourth time to put a protective coating on the print...The Printer Dock Series 3 is relatively speedy, with an average 4" x 6" print speed of 1 minute 39 seconds during our tests, which is relatively fast for a dye-sub printer...The Printer Dock Series 3, however, is the first in the series to support the new Imagelink system...The Printer Dock isn't as compact as many inkjet printers, because when in use its paper cassette sticks out the front and you need to leave some space behind as the paper is passed out the back several centimetres during printing..." read more »

"The Kodak Professional 1400 Digital Photo Printer can make a true professional-quality 8x10 print in less than 90 seconds...Because the 1400 Digital Photo Printer uses dry technology, the price per print never changes regardless of image density or complexity...The Kodak 1400 is a professional grade dye-sublimation printer which produces continuous tone prints on photographic paper up to A4 paper-size for gloss or matt, or up to 216 x 356 mm paper-size for gloss only...The quality is, in principle, better than can be achieved by inkjet or laser, although photographic inkjet prints are getting extremely good now, and there is more choice of media...The Kodak, and dye-sublimation generally, has a couple of advantages over inkjet..." read more »

"The Kodak Professional 8500 Digital Photo Printer is an affordable 8 x 10-inch, color printer that's perfect for advanced amateurs right up to professional users and mini-labs...The Kodak 8500 produces consistent results using dry imaging technology so there's no worries of clogged heads or spilled ink...The Kodak 8500 delivers true 8 x 10-inch printed size photos in gloss or matte finish and thanks to the protective laminate overcoat, your pictures are water resistant and highly durable...Not including the spooling time, the Kodak 8500 produces a dry to the touch photographic print in about 75 seconds...Each ribbon cartridge is good for 50 prints and comes boxed with two ribbons making it a 100 print pack...The Kodak 8500 like all dye-sub (actually dye diffusion thermal) printers uses a ribbon that has page-size pieces of yellow, magenta, cyan and the clear protective coating..." read more »

"The G600 is Kodak's new way of getting out and still printing pictures as easy as if you were stood in the lab...A front tray holds the paper and when loading, ensure that the paper is curled up by flicking through it or for some reason the printer cannot collect it...Print quality is good, but always has been better than inkjet...The pictbridge compatibility means that not just the camera has to be used to print from which broadens the printer's usability and this is a good thing..." read more »

"These times are, for the most part, slightly longer than those quoted by the manufacturers, which often don’t include the period that it takes the paper to load and the machine to warm up...And, to ensure as level a playing field as possible, we also used the same test shot as a starting point for each printer, so we could directly compare colour saturation, fidelity and, of course, overall sharpness..." read more »

"Impressive print quality; easy to operate; Windows and Macintosh compatible....No memory card slots; large footprint; AC-only operation....Overall, this 6000 is easy to use, and we like that it conveniently doubles as a recharger for your camera's batteries...However, be prepared to cough up as much as 75 cents a picture.Although it's a real space hog for such a small photo printer, the solidly built Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock 6000's fast, very good thermal-dye-transfer..." read more »

"Although each pass is relatively quick, there are four of them, so the overall print speed is unimpressive...It took 68 seconds to produce a print from a PC, which is quite good, but nearly two minutes when printing straight from a camera...The P880 camera supplied by Kodak for this review is an 8megapixel device, which produced some well-balanced and highly-detailed photos, but with this size of image, the long print times could be directly related to the amount of data being processed..." read more »
