"Exceptional video performance; 1080p and HDCP compatible; Faroudja DCDi processor; 10-bit gamma correction; 178-degree viewing angle; four video inputs;...Too expensive for most users; some may prefer a larger monitor for the 1,920x1,200 resolution...But would you pay over $1,000 for LaCie's new 24-inch monitor, the 324...Like the LaCie 324, it has a native 1,920x1,200 resolution...The image quality was good enough that we would seriously consider using this..." read more »

"My weapon of choice for an external hard drive was the Lacie Desktop Hard Disk 320 GB...Having brought it online for just under £50, that instantly stuck me as a bargain...Computer with USB 2.0 interface, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS X 10.3 or higher, Pentium II 350MHz processor or greater / G3, G4, G5 Mac Intel processor or greater, 128MB RAM minimum..." read more »

Reviews: For some, one of the defining images of the professional design studio is that of a large LaCie CRT monitor, its dark blue case surrounded on three sides by a matte black hood to block out extraneous light...Like its forebears, the 25.5in LaCie 526 arrives with that familiar light hood, already set up on its stand – and here’s where the niggles begin...In addition, the 526’s lack of USB ports, while not a serious shortcoming, does begin to look like poor value for such an expensive display, not to mention downright complacency on LaCie’s part...The 526’s onscreen display features well-placed buttons situated in the bottom right-hand corner of the frame...As might be expected, the LaCie handled all our colour and geometry tests exceptionally well, with clear differentiation between even minor gradations of tone...

"LaCie's range of monitors has been highly regarded over the years, so when we were asked to take a close look at the company's new LaCie 724 LCD 24in display, we jumped at the chance...After putting the 724 LCD display through our suite of tests, we have to agree that it performs admirably...It's held on a well-balanced central post that provides a decent height adjustment range, and the base contains a swivel plate that gives a good range of rotation...For colour precision work the LaCie 724 LCD is undoubtedly excellent, delivering accurate and smooth results that are good enough for the most demanding colour workflow..." read more »

"What the 730 offers that no other 30in display does is both a 14-bit Look-Up Table and 14-bit per colour processing...The 14-bit colour system takes the 8-bit output of your graphics card’s dual-link DVI port and modifies it into the monitor’s output using an overall palette that has 192 times more colour shades than the graphics card’s output...Blue Eye Pro works with the standard set of calibration hardware, and while you can purchase the 730 with a Blue Eye Pro calibrator for £3,390, this is just a rebadged X-rite i1Display2, which you can pick up for £125 from Colour Confidence and save yourself a few pounds..." read more »

"Great color performance; lots of adjustment potential; optional color-calibration software and colorimeter....Tilt adjustment very hard to perform; expensive for a 19-inch LCD....The LaCie 319 is built with color pros in mind...The LaCie 319's design is inoffensive, but it isn't attractive either...The LaCie 319 swivels easily 90 degrees right and left, thanks to a lazy Susan embedded in the square base...Grayscale performance was also good, with only slight..." read more »

"Rich screen color...Loss of detail in extreme light and dark...LaCie's first 19-inch LCD, the Photon19vision, has the features you'd expect from years of experience in monitor-making--and with good reason...Fuzzy detail in Microsoft Word and Excel documents held the monitor's rating for text to Good...Rich color, especially on a photo of a fruit tart, helped the Photon19vision gain a Very Good rating for graphics......" read more »
