"IT no longer works after 18 months - had a nice picture and was happy with the product, but very disappointed with the longevity of the internal components...So I would highly recommend purchasing another brand as the components that make up this TV are poorly made and Maxent doesn't stand behind their product...If you love a beautiful nonfuzzing hd picture and a great sd picture you wont be disappointed..." read more »

"Normally when you buy a high-definition monitor instead of a full-fledged HDTV, you can expect a nice little discount...Head-to-head with its budget competitor, the MX-42HPM20 lagged the pack on nearly every test we performed...Overall detail was generally acceptable, but the display still looked fuzzier than most, with mild artifacting and jagged edges...As long as you're not looking for a coaxial connection, CableCard slot, or DVI, the MX-42HPM20 has you covered..." read more »

"new new First one, it makes a big noisy, so I returned it and changed a new one...The 2nd one was broken in 13 mons, so I spent over $300 to fix it...I won't buy this brand in the future..." read more »

"Inexpensive for a plasma; relatively deep blacks help achieve a high contrast ratio; accurate color decoding; video processing includes 2:3 pull-down....Some visible false contouring artifacts occur just above black; lacks an HDTV tuner and a CableCard slot....If you would go to places like avsforum.com and read the literally hundreds of posts about the 42" and 50" versions of the Maxent x3 plasmas, you will find that almost everyone who owns one LOVES it...The..." read more »

"Relatively inexpensive; solid connectivity with two HDMI and one PC input; video processing includes 2:3 pull-down....Lack of detail in shadows; inaccurate color temperature, especially via HDMI inputs; color decoder pushes...Tell us what you like about this product...The panel incorporates a pair of HDMI inputs (one with stereo audio for use with DVI-to-HDMI adapters); two component-video inputs with stereo audio; two A/V inputs with composite and S-video;..." read more »

"I purchased this LCD monitor last year and paid $1,050.00 including tax...The kicker was that in order to get it fixed I would have to fax them the original receipt which I couldn't locate...Anyone considering a Maxent product should realize that if it breaks during or after the warranty period, they will pay a considerable amount just to get them fix it..." read more »

"Low price; accurate out-of-box color temperature....Poor black level; no HDMI input; no 2:3 pull-down, nondefeatable edge enhancement....The company's MX-32X3, a midsize 32-inch wide-screen HDTV-ready LCD, costs around $1,000 yet has most of the features and all of the flatness that people want in a new television...Considering some of the supermodelworthy competition in the flat-panel market, we didn't find the MX-32X3 all that attractive...With the color..." read more »
