"The uninspiring color-image quality of Mustek's new Be@rPaw 1200CU will not have you doing cartwheels, especially when you consider this scanner's price of $149...The 1200CU does not perform as well as some less expensive machines, but it does a pretty good job of rendering black-and-white photographs, graphics, and text documents...The 1200CU is a very small scanner...As we mentioned earlier, the overall color-imaging performance of the Mustek scanner was not impressive..." read more »

"The extra software isn't great or bad, if you are already scanning into your chosen software you probably won't use it...And what more do you need than good image processing, good colour bit quality and high resolution...One very good plus is also the lid comes on and off very easy with a hinge mechanism..." read more »

Reviews: Like I said in a previous post, I have a Mustek 1200UB scanner under win2k and have a lot of problems with it...Whenever I open the panel, (there is a panel-opening detector) windows automatically tries to do something (even though I asked it to do NOTHING when the panel opens) and then I have a fatal error of the scanner's driver...Try loading the drivers again.I also have 1200 ub and dont have such a problem with windows2000...
