Game Console Specs: Wii • 512 MB Installed Memory • Wireless Type Wi-Fi
Reviews: 50 expert reviews (rating 81 / 100) • 2576 user reviews
"The Wii has to be the first games console to get you up off your rump and onto your feet...The Wii is surprisingly compact, though that's as much because it runs off a separate power block - and a large one, too - as the simplicity of the internals...All the pre-release publicity pics sent out by Nintendo showed the Wii in its stand, which has the console thrusting up at an angle, but you can sit the machine less prominently on its base, NES-fashion, or on its side...The front of the Wii is dominated by the slot-loading optical disc drive, a slash of black against the Wii's shiny iPod white fascia - though it lights up when data comes wafting on over the airwaves courtesy of Nintendo's WiiConnect24 online service..." read more »

"Much smaller, easier to carry
Sleek, sexy design
Beautiful, bright screen
Long battery life
Thicker, sturdier stylus...GBA carts stick out
Bottom screen has some vertical movement
Small buttons, tight placement...DS Lite listings are mixed in with regular Nintendo DS listings...I've bought so many Game Boy products in my life that I wish I could subscribe to a service instead of handing Nintendo my hard-earned..." read more »

"It's a sure bet it'll be good though...A somewhat unexpected game making its debut on GameCube was Wave Race...The original set standards for the N64, and it looks to do the same for GameCube...LucasArts also threw their support behind GameCube with a quick view of X-wings flying in formation and strafing the surface of the Death Star..." read more »

Reviews: 7 expert reviews (rating 73 / 100) • 403 user reviews
"The Gameboy Advance SP isn't yet another new system in the never-ending Gameboy line, however...The Gameboy Advance SP's design differs radically from that of the original Gameboy Advance...This brings up our first potential worry with the Gameboy Advance SP...The Gameboy Advance SP has a similar frontlit solution to the Afterburner one, with the advantage that you don't have to cut anything, and it's all warranty approved...The other bugbear is the audio setup of the Gameboy Advance SP..." read more »

"Even though each of them will make use of their particular control systems, the game will be pretty much the same, which means you should make a good choice about which version you should buy...the goal is to shoot the balls and match groups of three or more of the same color in order to pop them and avoid the destruction of the pyramids...Good reflexes and precision are key in this game...One thing that also makes Luxor interesting is the option to switch the color of the ball you're going to shoot..." read more »

"Much smaller and sleeker, brighter screens...GBA cartridges stick out...Nintendo loves to reinvent their handheld video game consoles, and we'd probably make fun of them if they weren't so good at it...Take their new DS Lite, for example...Obviously, the DS Lite is smaller and lighter than the original video game console...The DS Lite is nearly two-thirds the size of the original console--about as small as Nintendo could make it and still have room for both..." read more »

"You'd think at this point the portable market would just be saturated with Nintendo products, and the Micro carries a price tag of US$99.99...Even with the fancy packaging and ad campaign are people going to make a bee-line for the Micro when the other choices are there...Even the SP can be cumbersome at times, but the Micro you can carry with you and effectively forget its there until you want to play a few rounds of Mario Golf...If Nintendo can reach this market, by placing the Game Boy Micro in regular electronics and not just in the videogame areas of stores and running their commercials during more mainstream shows, they may be able to further expand their market...The buttons are a little squishy, but the standard headphone jack and perfect portability along with the crystal clear screen makes this a good addition to the Game Boy line..." read more »

"Can you get that on the Nintendo 64...The simple ways the rules are presented means you will quickly pick up new variations like three-ball, Rotation and Straight Pool, which are actually quite good fun..." read more »

"It's a much-desired follow-up to Square's popular 1997 strategy role-playing game for the PlayStation, and it's also the first Final Fantasy game to appear on a Nintendo console in many years...Tactics Advance is also a great game in its own right, and it's well-suited to the portable Game Boy Advance...The title "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance" is somewhat misleading, because, while the game is certainly reminiscent of the PlayStation original, it's completely different in terms of storyline and certain key gameplay elements...That means you'll be spending much, much more time battling it out with bad guys than watching the story unravel...The actual gameplay of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance resembles that of other strategy RPGs, though, as you'd expect, it has a few twists of its own..." read more »

"The Nintendo Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter enables a much more convenient method of multiplayer GBA gaming by including a status menu and removing...Out of the hundreds of multiplayer GBA games available, only 20 or so work with the device--and a few...Nintendo recommends that systems remain within 10 feet of each other, but we were able separate them by about 40 feet before the lag reappeared, and by 50 feet before they lost contact...Tell us what you..." read more »
