Reviews for this Patagonia shoe: "The aluminum bars are probably a good 1/4 to 3/8 thick...After a few hours the overall performance did improve, and by the end of the day the boots started to grow on me...The bars are well-broken-in and I understand their attributes as well as their weaknesses – and yes the fishing was good..."
