User from avsforum says: I'm sending this as a "public service msg" for Replay 4500 owners in hopes of getting the word out to allay some concerns...Oddly enough, when one calls the ReplayTV support number (which is not a toll free number, BTW) there is a info recording for monthly subscribers with erroneous subscription termination msgs, but nothing to alert 4500 owners regarding this problem...I went ahead and followed oc's ethernet recommendation and successfully connected with a guide download out to Sep 21 (was stuck at evening of today up to now...Based on the sample discussions here and Planet Replay, the installed 4500 series customer base may not be over large, if other models are in the main unaffected, and if a percentage can/or are assumed to convert to ethernet, the repair could be dropped as not cost effective...see more
