"Outstanding performance from small box; wide range of ports...Expensive; PCI Express slots a tight fit; no 1,600MHz FSB support; no remote or Wifi...The 450W power supply is rated at 80 per cent or greater efficiency and, combined with the intricate chipset and CPU heatsinks, noise levels didn’t go above a low whoosh during testing when fueling an overclocked Core 2 Duo E6750 and two Radeon HD 3850s...It exceeds the rest with the biggest power supply, the most..." read more »

"That's not a problem with the D10 though - it's marked out by a 7in LCD touchscreen set into the front of the case, with a resolution of 800 x 480...the D10 will take a recent Celeron, Pentium or Core 2 Duo processor, but it won't accept quad-core parts, nor older chips with a TDP greater than 65W...You have more options when it comes to drives: the D10 offers two SATA channels plus a two-channel IDE controller...You might overlook that in a cheap system, but by the time you equip a D10 with all the necessary components plus a TV tuner you're getting close to £400 exc VAT..." read more »

"That’s fair comment, but you’re paying a steep list price of £329 for the SG45H7 and for that sort of money we expect it to be capable of every task under the sun...The problem is that you can buy a Radeon HD 4550 or 4650 for a mere £45..." read more »

"Cool, quiet and cute > Built-in dual monitor support > Another Atom core...Same price as a fully loaded Eee box...Its lack of upgrades (given that the chip is surface mounted) and the intentional hobbling (the lack of PCI Express slots, for example), rule it out of contention in anyone's main box...The Shuttle X27D, though, is not...You're also stuck with bog-standard GMA950 graphics, since – this being an Atom machine – there's no PCI Express support......" read more »

"The Shuttle XPC Barebone SP35P2 comes without "Pro" features such as a fingerprint scanner and USB Speed-Link...The extra OASIS cooling element does not only look good, but also reduces the temperature of the chipset and therefore ensures the stability of the Mini-PC - even under heavy load...This barebones system comprises of a case fitted with a PSU , motherboard..." read more »

"Comparing the KPC K-4500 with the desktop PC market as a whole compels us to look at low-end systems from Dell, HP, and Gateway's eMachines brand...However, where you might be surprised is that you can do a lot of the same things with this Linux-based K-4500 than you can with a Windows system...Because of licensing issues, the K-4500 can't play MP3 audio files or DVD movies (via a USB DVD player) out of the box...Its small size would make it an excellent home file or media server, and one commenter at NewEgg.com reported putting Windows Home Server on it, which sounds good to us..." read more »

"Very solid box, easy to install and service...No documentation included with product except for a booklet explaining what USB ports were and such...HDD tray is a little wonky, and its a little tricky to get the cables right..." read more »

"The Shuttle SG31G2 is darn well designed...But design is nothing without performance—and it’s here that some will find the SG31G2 a bit underwhelming...Beyond aesthetics and initial performance—at core, the SG31G2 is what you make of it...For the cutting-edge and tinkering crowd, pushing the SG31G2 to its limits is a challenge..." read more »
