"10 This unit is being "dumped" by certain catalogue outfits for $80...10 When you ponder the history of strap on keyboard controllers you should be content that one can purchase a light MIDI four octave controller for $80...Pioneers in strap-ons going back to the late seventies would have horror stories of expensive prototypes so consider yourself lucky to be able to own something that can do the job for a modest investment..." read more »

"10 If I ever did lose this or if it got stolen, I'd most likely replace it...6 The keyboard (pedals) have good action, and the velocity sensitivity is good, actually quite good for a pedalboard...MIDI capabilities are good, but onboard controls are difficult to work with just you feet (impossible -- I have to reach down and do them..." read more »

"7 The pedalboard's easy enough to use, there's only 4 buttons to worry about, bank select, midi channel select, transpose, and program select...No Opinion Overall Rating : 9 if it were stolen, I'd go kick the fucker's ass...It's been great so far, just had it a few days, but I'm having a lot of fun playing my acoustic and the pedals and coming up with cool stuff to play..." read more »

"I recommend playing this against GigaStudio 2.5 or 3.0 with one of the latest piano samples...9 If you want a light piano feel with mod and pitch wheels for a basic midi controller, you can't really beat this...No Opinion Overall Rating : No Opinion Ease of Use : 8 This unit is just a controller, so no sounds to play with, just packets of midi to send..." read more »

"No Opinion Overall Rating : 9 If you read the reviews here you will notice the big let down is not having an LCD screen to verify what channel/parameter etc you are adjusting or are on...No Opinion Never tried - in Italy, so i doubt it'll be great Overall Rating : 7 If it was lost or stolen, I would probably look at getting somthing else, perhaps somthing with 88 keys, but I would not dismiss buying this again...9 Great solid keyboard and action for 150..." read more »

"but I've stumbled across the Studiologic SL-990 pro recently, and I'm wondering if it's capable of connecting via SPDIF through my Echo card...I really don't want to get an Oxygen8 MIDI controller because I want a full 88 Weighted Keyboard...I've stumbled across the Studiologic SL-990 pro recently, and I'm wondering if it's capable of connecting via SPDIF through my Echo card..." read more »

"The Fatar is solid (metal case) and while I cannot find any way to change the porported 8 velocity curves, the base curve is good enough for most apps...Those keyboards have a really spongey bed and their velocity is all over the map in inconsistency...Could those of you on this forum who use either one of these keyboards as a controller give some feedback as to whether they are good or not..." read more »
