Reviews for this Celestron telescope (15 user reviews): "You might think that it will make a good, or at least inexpensive, starter option and that you can always upgrade later if the interest takes hold - but my guess is that this would be a huge mistake...As for other options, the usual advice, which is good but which nobody including me ever follows, is to join a local astronomy club (often for free) before buying anything, because usually the members will be happy for you to ask questions and seek advice...Next off, people tend to recommend getting a pair of binoculars instead (e.g..."
