Toshiba e330

"We hailed Toshiba's e310 as a great piece of design when it was released six months ago, and this update continues in precisely the same stylish vein - in fact, the chassis is identical, which is no bad thing considering its 12mm depth and brushed aluminium finish...Still, the e330 is comfortably fast enough for everyday tasks, and it also coped with video playback using Pocket TV...The e740's ATi Imageon graphics are also absent from the e330, which means Toshiba's Expansion pack won't work...But the e330 will mostly appeal to those looking for a basic but highly portable Pocket PC, and at 147g it's certainly the latter..." read more »

"With its new Pocket PC e335, Toshiba is targeting casual users willing to sacrifice a few features for a better price...The e335's exterior closely resembles the e740's...You can also expand the e335's internal memory (64MB of RAM and 32MB of ROM) by inserting a SD card...The e335 also includes several other worthwhile applications, such as Windows Media Player 8 and ArcSoft PhotoBase..." read more »

"Attractive design; dedicated 32MB of flash memory for data backup; 300MHz processor; 64MB of RAM....Lackluster software bundle; only 16MB of ROM....Tell us what you like about this product...In the end, it's hard to find anything too bad to say about this Pocket PC--but there isn't much to rave about either...Comparing these reviews to 76859 other PDAs reviews gives this product an overall alaScore™ 84/100 = Very Good......" read more »

"Toshiba came up with a new d-pad and application button design for the e405 and e805...The e405 has an Intel XScale PXA261 processor running at 300 MHz...In addition the e405 has 32 megs of non-volatile NAND flash ROM where you can store programs, data and backups...While e300 series Toshiba's had SD slots that didn't play nicely with SD networking cards, the e405 which supports SDIO and SDIO Now..." read more »

"Built-in Wi-Fi Greatly improved screen 96MB of built-in storage space Dual expansion slots....Bare-bones software package Expensive....HTC's best smartphone yet features a tilting screen, a good QWERTY keyboard and a responsive touch interface...Although the Nokia N97 is packed with features, its clunky touch interface, sky-high price tag and outdated operating system make it hard to recommend when there are better touch-screen..." read more »

"400MHz processor; 128MB of RAM; dual expansion slots; impressive software bundle; integrated Wi-Fi connectivity; large, high-resolution screen; user-replaceable...Bulky; no protective case included; separate service subscription required for VoIP functionality; expensive....Offering a generous 4-inch view, 65,536 colors, and a 240x320-pixel resolution that you can change to 640x480 for full VGA support, the transflective TFT display is the e800's main attraction...The..." read more »

"Stylish; slim design; excellent screen; wide choice of commercial and shareware software....Limited expansion options....When the first generation of Pocket PC-powered handheld computers appeared, the Compaq iPAQ instantly stole the lead on its brethren thanks to its smart futuristic design and innovative features...In terms of features, the e310 Pocket PC sits at the entry-level end of things but that's not to say it's particularly lacking...The e310's screen..." read more »

Toshiba e350
Reviews: 7 expert reviews (rating 72 / 100) • 25 user reviews
"Although not as fast as the larger Dell Axim X5, and bigger than the slower HP iPAQ H1910, the e350 represents a good compromise in terms of size, cost and performance...business users should opt for the larger, more flexible e750 (see p86), while consumers are catered for by the e350...The e350 is an update to the e330 with the processor upgraded to Intel's 300MHz PXA255 and a 'premium graphite' coloured case over the e330's silver..." read more »

"Relatively inexpensive; great-looking screen; included photo-editing software....Stripped-down operating system; only 16MB of ROM....Beyond the new OS, the e355 has a brighter, better transflective screen...Unlike the e355, the e350 doesn't have PhotoBase to make up for the missing program, so the step-up model is a better deal...The most-notable difference between the e355 and earlier Toshibas is that the new case is charcoal gray rather than silver...Overall,..." read more »
