"make people sleep outside shops before the release day, but they appear to be decent devices...The dinky X-960 sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen, 300 Mhz Samsung processor and about 2 hours of battery life...Specs go a bit higher with the X 970-T (pictured), but it's quite similar to the X-960...It's a shame, apart from the slow signal pickup that others have noticed this is a good value GPS..." read more »

"The X-960 is the lightest satnav on test at only 136g...Menus are intuitive and the main menu has three simple buttons: Navigate, Plan your journey and My ViaMichelin...The 300MHz CPU might not be the fastest, but the X-960 is responsive, even on battery power...Although no mains adapter is bundled, you can charge the unit via USB or the car charger..." read more »

"Startup and GPS fix times are good, and setting destinations is well handled thanks to a depreciating alphabet display that quickly narrows down your search...Dedicated controls take you to navigation options, history, POI (points of interest) or traffic data, but returning to the main map involves navigating back through the whole menu structure - certainly not the easiest we've ever used...The X-980T is also quite bulky and doesn’t really compete with today’s more slim-line market..." read more »
